Bluey Is a Racket // Edition of 7
Bluey Is a Racket // Edition of 7
These sweatshirts are printed by me. They’re more like wearing a painting and less like a perfect print!
Printed and over-dyed light blue in my studio in Brooklyn, these limited edition sweatshirts are a nine print design. The images, with the exception of the crosshatch design are all created using stencils and screen printing methods. Each tee is slightly different and may include a smudge or two of ink. Joy in imperfection! It’s like wearing a piece of the city, never perfect but always dynamic!
You can see examples of the table where I print as well as the inks, screens and stencils in the photos below. Each stencil is developed from a drawing or found shape, they’re cut using a craft knife and then placed on the shirt and printed. The peony design is inspired by the peonies we had in our backyard when I was growing up and the graphic by my favorite 80’s K-Mart sweatshirt.
Printed on 8oz. 50/50 over-dyed and preshrunk cotton/ polyester blend sweatshirts with water based inks. Wash and dry as usual. No need to turn it inside out. Print will soften with washing.
!! Size XL is a slightly different design with an added dot on the top of the chest in mustard yellow. !!
Measurements in inches
*Please note these sweatshirts have all been over-dyed and washed twice so they should not shrink anymore.
*Please see photos to see an example of how I take the measurements for each size. An easy way to figure out your size is to take a sweatshirt you like and measure from armpit to armpit and from the high point of the shoulder to the bottom of the garment.
